He climbed a tree to see the one who brought his salvation
A man from Jericho called Zacchaeus, for the moment he heard that Jesus the Savior was passing through the city, but this desperate man at that time, thought “Well, I am very small”, then this man came up with a tree because the crowd following Jesus was very large and he very small.
Zacchaeus had a hard time seeing Jesus, but since he climbed that tree, this man could see the savior Jesus.
The impressive thing about this story was how this man worried about seeing Jesus, but let’s see what Zacchaeus was desperate to see Jesus.
4 And he ran before, and climbed up into a sycomore tree to see him: for he was to pass that way.
5 And when Jesus came to the place, he looked up, and saw him, and said unto him, Zacchaeus, make haste, and come down; for to day I must abide at thy house.
6 And he made haste, and came down, and received him joyfully.
Luke 19:4-6
This biblical story tells that although he was the chief of the publicans, he didn’t care that he was murmured and said strange things about him. This man was joyful when the Master told him to come down from the tree that he would be at home today.
This serves as an example to many who today, make us all the easy things to be able to enter the roads, however we reject Him, and Jesus, like Zacchaeus, today wants to go to your house.
Something tremendous that happened was the transformation that Zacchaeus received, this man immediately said that he would distribute half of the goods to the poor and that if he had let someone down, he would return it multiplied by four.
Humble man who accepted that Christ the Savior will dwell in his house. Jesus changed his life completely.
