I waited patiently for the Lord

The Bible tells us a lot about patience, and as children of God we must learn to be patient and wait for God’s time. The first thing we must know is that God does not accommodate to our time or way of thinking, God knows the right moment in which to act.

Sometimes we ask God for something and He does not respond immediately and we lose patience because we believe we need that exactly at that moment, but it is not so, God knows more than anyone when we really need that and we must ask God to cover us with patience to be able to wait on Him. The psalmist said:

1 I waited patiently for the Lord; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry.

2 He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings.

Psalm 40: 1-2

As we read this verse we realize that the psalmist was really in a moment of trouble, of difficulty, of those moments when it is thought that it is difficult to leave, however, he said he waited patiently in the Lord, and He bowed to hear his cry.

Do you think that in hard times God hears your cry? This is something vital, we must believe that when we cry out He hears us, and that is called faith, and remember that the Bible tells us that without faith it is impossible to please the Lord.

If you are going through a moment where you need an answer from God and you still don’t see it materialize, I want to tell you to be patient, that in time God will respond, because He always wants the best for us.
