I waited patiently for the Lord
The Bible speaks extensively about patience, emphasizing that as children of God, we must learn to wait for His timing. It’s important to understand that God doesn’t operate according to our schedule or way of thinking; He knows the perfect moment to act.
Often, we ask God for something and expect an immediate response. When it doesn’t come, we lose patience, believing we need it right then. However, God knows when we truly need something and we must pray for the patience to wait on Him. The psalmist expressed this sentiment:
I waited patiently for the Lord; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry.
2 He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings.
Psalm 40:1-2
