If we humble ourselves from the heart God will forgive us
Being haughty will help us in nothing, nor will we have good benefits, on the contrary, we will be seen with bad eyes by many people. Worse, God will look at us from afar.
Being haughty before God will not help us to be victorious even while being in God’s ways and less outside. Instead, when you are humble and recognize that you are a sinner before God and others, you are already victorious in the Lord.
Humility in the Lord makes us good, passive, dedicated, compressive people, and best of all, we know when we are wrong. This makes us acceptable before God, because every day we go before Him humbled so that He can forgive us for any fault we have committed before Him.
The Bible tells us the following about people who know how to recognize their mistakes and humble themselves before God:
Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.
James 4:10
In this chapter James tells us about friendship with the world, that’s why everyone in the world doesn’t recognize about humbling themselves before God. That is why James clearly says “humble yourselves before the Lord and he will exalt you”, but let us not forget that there were also people in the fold who only cared about their own benefits and there was resentment among them.
And about the haughty, the Bible tells us the following:
Though the Lord be high, yet hath he respect unto the lowly: but the proud he knoweth afar off.
Psalm 138:6
God is great and wonderful and attends to the humble, to the one who humbles himself and who knows how to recognize that he is a sinner, but He looks at him from afar. Let us not forget that God is just and that is why we must keep His word day after day.
