Dwelling under the shadow of the Almighty

This article will be based on the well-known Psalm 91. By the way, Charles Spurgeon praised this Psalm as follows: “In the entire collection there is no more encouraging Psalm, its tone is high and sustained throughout it, faith is at its highest peak, and speaks nobly. “On the other hand, the writer of this psalm remains unknown, some attribute it to Moses by a certain resemblance to Psalm 90 and others to David because sometimes it seems the way he expressed himself .

1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

2 I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.

Psalm 91:1-2

Sometimes as believers we do not know what is really the shelter of the Most High, that God has a place reserved for His children for those moments of storm, a place where the peace of God abounds, and characters like David, who fought a lot, who spent by incredible tests, they truly know what it is to dwell under the shelter of the Most High and under His shadow.

When you are going through a difficult time, where are you looking for shelter? In the shelter of God or in this world? Come on friend, there is no better shelter than God’s. Let us do as Spurgeon said, that although we cannot see Him we will dwell under the shadows of His wings.

There is no better refuge than that of God, He is good, and although many times our pain does not let us decipher that, the pain will also teach us that He is our hope, the castle where we take refuge and that way the darts of the enemy do not they can arrive and that totally in Jesus is all our trust.
