Reasons why you should follow Jesus’ steps

There are several reasons why we should follow in the footsteps of our Lord and beloved Jesus.

Following in His footsteps will keep us safe under His power and eternal guidance, remember that without our God we are nothing, since everything moved because God wanted it that way.

Following in the footsteps of our God will give us an advantage all the time, because with Him all things will be better, when we are in shadow valleys, we will not fear because God is with us.

Our trust in the Lord must be firm and not faint under any circumstances. Let’s not forget that if we trust Him, things will be very different in our lives.

When we walk under His wisdom and under His confidence, we feel more than secure, wherever we step, our steps will be safe, because our trust in God is firm.

It is interesting when we read Psalm 23 David talking about his guide God, his strength. Let’s look and analyze this psalm well:

1 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.

2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.

3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.

4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

Psalm 23:1-6

It is surprising how this chapter 23 of the book of Psalms begins, when David says that God is His shepherd. Here David puts God on his life and on all the things that are around him.

This is really what every human being should do, be wise to put all his trust in Almighty God, because, by resting in Him, we will be walking under His protection.
